Q2 2024 Spotlight: Top 5 Cryptocurrency Apps' Performance in the Unified Platform

The second quarter of 2024 has been an active period for cryptocurrency mobile applications. Here’s a glimpse into how the top five apps fared on the unified platform, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto saw a steady increase in downloads, starting at 1.2K in the first week of April and peaking at 2.2K in mid-June before dropping to 1.5K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users reflected a similar upward trend, beginning at approximately 50K and reaching a high of 56K in the third week of June.

In contrast, Coinbase: Buy Bitcoin & Ether had a modest download count, with numbers fluctuating around the low hundreds weekly, peaking at 114 in late May. Weekly active users hovered around 400, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.

Trust: Crypto & Bitcoin Wallet experienced a slight dip in downloads in mid-April, dropping to 60 before climbing back up to 101 in early June. Weekly active users stayed in the 1.9K range, with minor ups and downs across the quarter.

KuCoin- Buy Bitcoin & Crypto downloads remained below 100 for most of the quarter, but saw a significant spike to 203 in the first week of June. Active users showed an increasing trend, starting at 370 and reaching a peak of 651 also in the first week of June.

Lastly, Bybit: Buy & Trade Crypto downloads were relatively low, with the highest at 88 in early June. Weekly active users showed a steady increase towards the end of the quarter, moving from just over 300 to peaking at 331 in the second week of June.
